Night Shift Issue - Screen looses effect.

I seem to be having the issue where Night shift works until the point of 'sunset' ie I can see the screen slightly changing hue, then it goes bright white. If I then adjust the Night Shift effect slider ie the the more/less slider. The effect is restored as expected.

OS: macOS Ventura 13.2
Mac Pro 7,1
Monitor LG 38WK95C

Is this happening only while BetterDisplay is running or a generic issue (Night Shift goes crazy sometimes by default, but that is not specifically an app issue - maybe I can fix that by adding a "night shift watchdog" feature, but it's a rare occurrence).

This is only happening on the External Monitor which does not support Night Shift until I enable it in Better Display. If that makes sense?

Yes. However if this is the case, then what you are experiencing is not something BetterDisplay specific, it's just a general issue with Night Shift that tends to happen from time to time for no obvious reasons I am afraid. :( I experienced same in the past with perfectly ordinary computer monitors without BetterDisplay running. Maybe something is off with Location Services or something like that?

I'm not sure why this is now a 'discussion' as it's definitely an issue.

The frequency is everyday, at sunset Night Shift starts to work. Then boom, it doesn't. It's not intermittent.

I'll set it as a fixed time, and see the outcome. I hadn't tested that scenario.

OK, My misunderstanding. I've tested. It seems that i don't need Better Display for Night Shift. It seems I don't need Better Display at all anymore in my current setup. I can scale my screen in Ventura easily using the resolution settings. Thanks for your efforts. Cheers.

If you applied the override settings to enable Night Shift and scaled resolution, they will stick for a while even if you remove BetterDisplay. The app is nice enough not to undo these things if you remove it during the trial but upon a config change things will probably get lost.

But you seem to have a 38WK95C display, it should have Night Shift by default.
