My question Is: Is there a way to enable HiDPI on 5120x1440? Context: I have an ultrawide 49" 5120x1440 monitor (Samsung G9 OLED), which I use with the laptop screen closed. Better Display only seems to support this resolution at low DPI. When I enable the HiDPI function, it falls back to 3840x1080. When I then re-select 5120x1440, it turns HiDPI off. On Apple Silicon (with Pro chips) the max HiDPI resolution is 3840px horizontally. The only way to enable HiDPI is to create a virtual screen, enabling 8K+ resolutions and mirroring it to the real display. This method has some drawbacks. |

Since the text and icons in 5120x1440 resolution may too small, I would like to scale them to 125%, as in Windows. Is this possible with the M2 Pro and Asus 49 monitor in HiDPI? Currently I have this monitor and this resolution issue is preventing me from buying MacBook. |
