[HELP] Secondary Monitor dims with full screen terminal

How can I disable terminal dimming in a full screen (terminal's background is black)? Occurs with native terminal, alacrity and Ghostty.

When having another application open side by side this action does not happen.

Version 3.2.1
Secondary monitor: LG Ultragear 27inch

I don't think this is the app, but might be some kind of dynamic contrast or some other image processing or power saving setting on the display which kicks in when the display is mostly dark. Some displays do this but on most monitors this can be disabled.

Hey, thanks for the reply, I have disabled the power saving on my external monitor, did not help. I have played around with all the settings of the monitor and nothing helped.

Whenever I perform brightness up on the secondary screen it restores to default prior to dimming again.
P.S. On windows this action is not monitored.

Hmm. So you say this dimming behavior is somehow controlled by software? Does this happen only with Terminal apps and only when the background is set to dark?

I've played it around a bit more, it appears that dimming only happens if majority of the screen is black, I have attempted running matrix terminal and the dimming did not occur, as soon as I switched back to the text editor the dimming has started. This action only occurs with terminal, while vscode does not dim at all, despite having a complete dark theme.

UPDATE: Fixed it by changing the background to dark blue and it worked 🤨
