Last week when I was meeting with Dave, we talked through some of the issues I’m having. Right now things feel confusing with two versions of the network still in use, having two different sets of notebooks I’m looking at that have different methods, and project cards I can’t use. So Dave gave me the ok to send you my list of requests to get this process cleaned up and get me rolling again.
A. Create network Version 00
a. This is version coming out of ranch with missing links added in
b. Provide me the json/geojson files for Version 00, including centroids, externals, etc (whatever base pieces needed)
B. Run my project cards ( ProjectCards.zip) through the cross walk to update link IDs so they will work with Network Version 00
a. Return project cards to me
b. We have a met council git hub repo set up for these. I have not been using the outdated ones that are on the WSP site
C. Create a notebook: CreateVersion01
a. Load Version00
b. Apply BaseCorrections project cards
c. Run steps to make model network
d. Save as json, pickle, shape and cube (include these steps in the notebook).
i. My hope is not to rerun this notebook often and just start with Version01 most of the time, but there are more corrections I’m seeing needed in the network. So I will need to add more project cards to that base corrections folder and rerun this notebook eventually.
D. Create notebook: ApplyProjectCardExample
a. Load Version01
b. Apply BaseMnPASS folder of project cards (or any other example folder, just need to see example here of how to apply project cards)
c. Other steps need to make model network
d. Export as shapefile and cube (Version02)
e. Save as pickle file
I just want a couple clean notebooks that use the most recent version of lasso methods, so I’m not trying to copy outdated code or repeating unneeded steps. The notebooks 01, 02, 03 have so many unnecessary steps right now. I’m not sure what I need and what is repetitive and what is just trouble shooting.
I’m working on the external links right now. Will send those when done
Questions?
Thanks
Rachel
