Is your feature request related to a problem?

A developer provided feedback that the xmtp.chat app's behavior during a hard refresh poses a frequent annoyance during development.

Currently, the app reloads to the welcome page, requiring the user to click "Connect" and re-sync.

It would streamline development if a hard refresh kept the user inside the app and retained their synced conversations.
