It would be nice to be able to procedurally generate the sky with correct atmospheric scattering. This could be controlled by a new .mtr keyword.

Some thoughts about it:

  • Sky color would be nice. (Like making the sky brownish or yellowish)
  • Rotation axis for the sun
  • Clouds
  • Multiple Layers of clouds with different speed settings and different movement vectors (maybe even how much light each layer absorbs)
  • feature more sky objects, like multiple moons, planets, space stations etc. (with size, rotation axis, speed of rotation)
  • local time mode (get clients local time and pass it to the sky o.O )

As i said. Only ideas or some kind of stimulation for your brain.
