luacrc16 would be useful for use with writing Wireshark dissectors in Lua. But the latest Wireshark at the time I write this (2.6.1) is bundled with Lua 5.2.4.

I manually compiled this for Lua 5.2.4, on 64-bit Windows, and it seems to work okay in a Wireshark Lua dissector. But I did need to do a fix for integer types—in pull request #4.
