I use Opensuse Linux Leap 15.0 with KDE and Thunderbird 60.2.1 but if I click the close button it does not minimize

Hello, does the addon appear in the list of installed addons?
Did you configure it via the options accessible from the drop-down menu of the main window: "Tools / add-ons options" as shown here:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/Add-ons_Guide_57#Removed_and_changed_in_mozilla59 ?

If yes, does the bug seem to you related to #7?

I can confirm this bug on thunderbird 60, the extension only works when disabling strict compatibility, and even then, it will not work, as the options window has no save button

In command line I find this error:

JavaScript error: resource://mintrayr/trayservice.jsm, line 40: Error: not resolved

Hello,
I use Opensuse Leap 15 with KDE, but I can change the preferences and save it without an Error in the command line. But it doesn't work, thunderbird closes if I close it and doesn't minimize to tray.

Thank you for the report, in fact the presence of the save button "Ok" is not useful, in fact it is not present on KDE 4.x TB 60.3.1. It's ticking a box that counts.

Regarding support for the closing event, you have to make sure that the option "Use for Messenger windows" is checked in the tab "Thunderbird" from the window of the options.
If this is the case, it is a bug on KDE 5.

Thanks for your response, however I moved to Kontact and it's working fine
