Sir, I found that you have multiplied a new coefficient after calculating the mobility R1. This new coefficient seems to be the -2/3 power of the total length of the river divided by the total length of the x dimension. Where does this coefficient appear in the paper?

The idea is that flow velocity and shear stress are proportional to channel slope; channel slope decreases as sinuosity increases, and therefore the migration rate (which depends on shear stress) needs to be decreased a bit if sinuosity goes up. This is based on Howard & Knutson, 1984, page 1663.

Sir, I'm a little unsure about the "diag_blank_width" variable in the "find_cutoffs" function. I mean obviously it is preventing adjacent points in the centerline from being culled, what determines its value setting?
