[Bug] Gapless playback

Description

The new added support for 'gapless playback' seems to add nothing. I mean, the feature doesn't work. The transition between songs seems the same as before the update. Yes, it is switched on in the settings.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Play a track that smoothly transitions to the next one
2. Listen for the gap

Expected Behavior

There should be no gap in between tracks.

Happening on my Google Pixel 4a 5G (the 128GB one), with GrapheneOS in it (latest update afaik, Android 13). Also happened with the latest Symphony nightly.

If it's important, I'm using MP3 files downloaded from YouTube using YTDLnis (not sure if the downloader is relevant). I read that some (most/all?) MP3 files don't support gapless playback, but in foobar2000 it works fine with the same files.

I was gonna report this sooner but I procrastinated a little :p

Same problem on Samsung S9 with Lineage OS & Samsung S24 with Samsungs Android Version. I use FLAC files.
I really like the simplicity and design of the App and hope I could help in making the feature work on my devices soon.
