Description

So when I'm playing music and I just stop playing it for whatever reason and I do not close the app, when I reopen the app later, maybe like 10 minutes later or maybe an hour or two later, it will not resume from the place I stopped. So for example, I'm on track number 3 at the 2 minute mark. When I'm going to open the app, it's going to start from like track 2 instead of track 3. So basically to make sure I save my progress, every time I pause my music, I need to close the app manually from the recents. This way it saves where I actually stopped and it will resume from the same place. Otherwise it will resume from the last time when I close the apps. For example, I've listened to the entire album, I'm at the last minute, i pause the music to do something else, when I open it again. It won't start from the last minute of the last track, it will start from whatever track I was on when I originally closed the app (closing the app by swiping up from recents).

This doesn't carry over to other albums. So if I start another album in the same session and I pause on the new album, it won't go back to the old album when I decide to open the app again. It usually goes back to the start of whatever track I was listening to.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Play whatever album you like
  2. Get to a certain point (eg: 2:51 on track 1) and close the app from recents
  3. Open app again and continue playing, maybe until you reach a new track or significantly further from your old point (eg: track 2 5:01)
  4. Exit the app and pause music from media control. Do not open the app or clear from recents.
  5. Wait a while (for me 10 minutes is enough)
  6. When you open the app again it will start from either the beginning of track 1 or from 2:51 track 1

Expected Behavior

From the abovr example, it should resume from 5:01 track 2
