Hi @carolromero @andreslucena @arnaumonty I have some doubt

  1. Below I share two screenshots with different options for the "Focus mode", the second one being much more suitable for this feature IMHO, since the first one leaves almost no space at the bottom of the screen. What are your inputs on this?

[Option 1] Focus mode with no style change

[Option 2] Focus mode removes card padding, margins and borders, text at 80% font-size

  1. I added a button to enter "Focus mode" [third screenshot] but I'm not sure if you expected users to return to focus mode if they want to. Do you think we should keep the button, and if so, where? In case you don't like the button, should we forget about toggling focus mode on again, or should we think of another way to do so?

  1. Could you confirm/deny that the focus mode box content for the projects list view should be different than the one for the project detail view?

Thanks! ❤️

Hi @verarojman, here's some feedback regarding your questions:

I agrre with you, better the second one.

I added a button to enter "Focus mode" [third screenshot] but I'm not sure if you expected users to return to focus mode if they want to. Do you think we should keep the button, and if so, where? In case you don't like the button, should we forget about toggling focus mode on again, or should we think of another way to do so?

Good question. The idea of opting for this solution is that the participant "intuitively" understands that the main action of voting happens in the progress box, but I am not sure if the participants will understand what "entering focus mode" means.
How about that when you scroll, the focus mode is automatically activated? It would be similar to how it works now, but I'm thinking out loud here, I don't know if it's a better option. What do you think?

Could you confirm/deny that the focus mode box content for the projects list view should be different than the one for the project detail view?

I confirm that it must be the same view for the index and for the project detail. Mea culpa, I didn't have time to modify the mockups in the original issue 🙏.

Hi @carolromero,

I added a button to enter "Focus mode" [third screenshot] but I'm not sure if you expected users to return to focus mode if they want to. Do you think we should keep the button, and if so, where? I think it's fine if we don't provide a GUI element for users to toggle focus mode on again, and just leave the default behaviour. Let me explain with an example:

[Scroll to toggle focus mode]
As a user...

  • I start browsing the projects list. 🤔 I like the focus mode (shown by default) because it clearly shows what I must do 😄
  • I visit a project's detail page. I start reading the project details to understand what it is about 😢 but the focus mode has such highlighted information, I close it to concentrate on the text. 😄
  • I scroll down and the focus mode reappears... 😠 😡 I leave this annoying page

[No GUI element to toggle focus mode]
As a user...

  • I start browsing the projects list. 🤔 I like the focus mode (shown by default) because it clearly shows what I must do 😄
  • I visit a project's detail page. I start reading the project details to understand what it is about 😢 but the focus mode has such highlighted information, I close it to concentrate on the text 😄
  • I scroll down and finish reading the text. 😌
  • I go back to the projects list and the focus mode is shown again (by default) 🤔 It reminds me, I have to vote! 😮 😄
