5. Flashing the ESP32
Flashing the ESP32 with the PylonToMQTT firmware from a Windows 10 PC
Connect your ESP32 device to a USB port on your PC.
Download firmware.zip from https://github.com/ClassicDIY/PylonToMQTT/releases and extract the content into your download folder.
go to the extracted folder in your download folder and run flasher.exe.
Press the Flash! button to start the flashing process.
You may have to press the 'Boot' button on your ESP32 device to initiate the flashing process (this may not be required on some dev boards).
Press Setup WIFI and enter your wifi SSID and password
The flasher tool will launch your default browser with the PylonToMQTT home page.
Note: If your are prompted for a username/password when accessing the configuration page, use User: admin Password: PylonToMQTT

DB9 (DTE) to (6 pin) RJ11
- DB9 -> RJ11
- pin 2 -> pin 3
- pin 3 -> pin 4
- pin 5 -> pin 5
pins 1,2,6 no connections on RJ11
