Here are some additional steps not seen in the Git history that were accomplished in order to get deployments working:

  1. Update GitHub Environment rules for github pages to allow tags of v*.*.*
    to deploy to GitHub Pages
  2. Update cachix auth token with a new one that doesn't expire
