Salt

  • pillar will reside in /srv/pillar/
  • salt will reside in /etc/salt/
  • states will reside in /srv/states/

Firehol

  • states/files/firehol.conf will reside in /etc/firehol/firehol.conf. This is the Firehol configuration file.
    • internal_servers: These are the protocols your router will serve to your LAN
    • internal_clients: These are the protocols your router will request from the WAN
  • states/files/log_firehol.conf will reside in /etc/rsyslog.d/log_firehol.conf. This file redirects Firehol log messages.
  • states/files/logrotate_firehol.conf will reside in /etc/logrotate.d/logrotate_firehol.conf. This file rotates Firehol log messages.

Pi-hole

  • states/files/setupVars.conf will reside in /etc/pihole/setupVars.conf. This is the Pi-hole configuration file.

    NOTE: If any changes are manually made to setupVars.conf after installation, run pihole -r and select Repair (This will retain existing settings) for the changes to take effect.

  • states/files/adlists.list will reside in /etc/pihole/adlists.list. This file contains Pi-hole blacklists.
