Startup and Loading a Library

By default, the CITE-App tries to load million.cex as its default library. This library of approximately one million words contains texts in Greek, Arabic, Latin, English, and German as a demonstration.

If you are not online, of course, it will not be able to load this.

If you have a .cex library on your computer, you can load it using the Choose File button in the upper-right corner of the application’s window. Click the button; navigate your local filesystem; find a .cex file; and clic “Choose”. After a short pause, the new library will load, and you will see its contents listed under the words “Works in this Corpus”.

Getting more .cex libraries

The canonical site for CITE libraries in .cex format is https://github.com/cite-architecture/cex.

By visiting that link, you can use the green “Clone or download” button to download all of the available .cex files to your computer. The citedx page’s README includes short descriptions of each file.
