Greek in BOESP

You had mentioned in sanskrit-lexicon/PWG#37 (comment) that "there are also 88 translations into Greek (22 in the first volume) that have to be added."

Is it done or still pending?
Probably I can help doing them if not done yet.

And I have seen that Vol.1 had 4 Spruches translated into Greek (rest all are in German); is it not appropriate to render those also into German?
[Footnotes can be in any language (as they could be from many sources), so not to worry about them being uniform (in a single language, I mean).]

they contain sexual matter that was hightly inappropriate to publish in German at the time. Probably nothing much to worry about nowadays in most countries. Would have to be translated by someone who knows Greek. So you might as well translate them directly from Sanskrit.

Yes, we have Greek text, as Unicode, in several dictionaries.

If you know how to do the Greek text for BOESP, that would be great.

You could use this simple format:

Sure, I will send those Greek strings as single line paragraphs.

You may break them into small lines at your end later, as per your style.

Or do you want me to break them at 40 letters or at word endings each line, whichever comes first?

Re line breaks, my first guess would be to correspond to the line breaks of the text.
However, if these are Greek 'prose', then then line breaks are not significant. If that is the case,
then just choose some convenient line length for break.
Note the blank line after the end of Greek is used to indicate the end of that Greek section.

Also, Are you including Greek translations from all 3 volumes? If so, I suppose the section numbers
continue throughout the 3 volumes (as opposed to restarting at 1 in volumes 2 and 3).

It's just that I try to acquaint myself about anything that is necessary (and sufficient; only at few times I crave for more than what is sufficient!!), while working on something.
And I do possess a unique strength of "fast learning/grasping" things.

Having the lines with resp. F, V, W no.s will make it easy to go to that place in the book directly.

As the identification and marking is already done by his team in the files, I guess I should take that as a basis, instead of repeating it all myself.

Against the count of 88 by Thomas, I just got 75 with a quick look for Greek "strings" at the pages.

Vol.x Tr + FN + VN
Vol.1: 8 + 14 + 3 (25)
Vol.2: 5 + 19 + 0 (24)
Vol.3: 16 + 10 + 0 (26)

Others could be single letters or words, like at <W>3754, and it should be possible to fill those easily later.

I think this issue can be closed -- we have Greek translations courtesy of @Andhrabharati and @jmigliori.
