Bubbagen OS for Excito B3, version 1.16 revision 1
These are the Live USB images for Bubbagen OS version 1.16 revision 1.
If you are new to this OS and upgrading from the original Excito supplied Bubba OS it is my recommendation that you install the 1.16.1 version which uses the OpenRC service manager. I also recommend this version if you intend to play with advanced networking options such as multiple Wifi SSIDs, VLANs and VPN.
The 1.16.6 version uses the systemd service manager. For headless systems like the B3 this offers no real benefit but people that run Linux desktops may prefer this for uniformity in their network. Systemd network managing in my opinion is rather complex/restricted from command line but you may enjoy this as an additional challenge.
important note
This is the last image I will publish using the systemd init system. Reason is that over the years DHCP client support in NetworkManager has slowly degraded to a point where I am unable to guarantee proper functioning of core Bubba functions or even networking itself when running the Live-USB with standard adaptive network settings.
Bubbagen OS for Excito B3, version 1.16
These are the Live USB images for Bubbagen OS version 1.16.
If you are new to this OS and upgrading from the original Excito supplied Bubba OS it is my recommendation that you install the 1.16.0 version which uses the OpenRC service manager. I also recommend this version if you intend to play with advanced networking options such as multiple Wifi SSIDs, VLANs and VPN.
The 1.16.5 version uses the systemd service manager. For headless systems like the B3 this offers no real benefit but people that run Linux desktops may prefer this for uniformity in their network. Systemd network managing in my opinion is rather complex/restricted from command line but you may enjoy this as an additional challenge.
Bubbagen OS for Excito B3, version 1.15
These are the Live USB images for Bubbagen OS version 1.15.
If you are new to this OS and upgrading from the original Excito supplied Bubba OS it is my recommendation that you install the 1.15.0 version which uses the OpenRC
service manager. I also recommend this version if you intend to play with advanced networking options such as multiple Wifi SSIDs, VLANs and VPN.
The 1.15.5 version uses the systemd
service manager. For headless systems like the B3 this offers no real benefit but people that run Linux desktops may prefer this for uniformity in their network. Systemd network managing in my opinion is rather complex/restricted from command line but you may enjoy this as an additional challenge.
Bubbagen OS for Excito B3, version 1.14
Note: there is no specific ranking meant with the sub-version numbering. The systemd version only received the .5
sub-version because the openrc version already existed. If you don't know what the former means, I suggest that you choose 1.14.0 because this one comes closest to the original Bubba OS.
Please reference the Readme for changes and further details.
Bubbagen OS for Excito B3, version 1.13

sub-version because the openrc version already existed. If you don't know what the former means, I suggest that you choose 1.13.0 because this one comes closest to the original Bubba OS.
Please reference the Readme for changes and further details.

1.8.5
Extends Sakaki's gentoo-on-b3 version 1.8.0 (9 Nov 2015) with the full functionality of the original Excito "Bubba" web admin interface
Unlike the 1.8.2 release this features a new kernel, however it is still kernel version 4.3.0. The difference is that this version boots into systemd. A full rewrite of bubba-networkmanager was done so that it now operates with (Gnome) NetworkManager. This release comes with something of an issue: due to a different kind of logging, not all logs can currently be accessed through the web interface.
Please note that this release does not replace version 1.8.2 - the OpenRC version will remain supported.
