I've tried making all the groups visible in a dropdown. However there are so many files in the vendor that add translations it will make it less clear for a user to decide which translation group they need. My suggestion is to just set the group to "*" by default.
I also added translations in the vue components, auto include the scripts for the field types in the service provider.
