Description

Moves the project/gateway2/examples to the root directory. Related to #10566.

does it make sense to just remove the examples directory and rely on the unit / e2e tests as examples? in theory the tests should cover (most of) the use cases we support

maybe we could merge this PR for now to unblock the refactor, then if needed, remove as part of the test cleanup (after we verify they are actually covered by existing tests)?
