Commit 3cb86ff announced that support for Ruby 2.1 was dropped. This commit removes code related to Ruby 1.8, and specifies in gemspec that Ruby >= 2.2 must be used. Ruby 2.1 was EOL 7 years ago, so I hope this is ok.
