It's been a while since I've built anything by myself... Even though I have not forgot the most important agenda I used to push my developers towards, I certainly found it easier to say than to do it myself. I knew it'll be difficult to keep myself to the standard of not getting lost in the details and not escalate the scope, but I always thought I'll be able to do it. And this is my chance to do it.

At this stage of development, I must resist the urge of feature creep. I must deliver the minimal viable product that achieves the main goal and nothing else. Everything else must come later as working together with others brings new learnings. And the main goal is to create a fun game from which I can find the athletes to have discussions with to my Immortal Combat podcast. Everything else, including the revenue model must come later. As things grow, better opportunities will reveal themselves.

Let these lines be a reminder in key moments and times of doubt, and ask yourself: Do we really need this now?

This was helpful, but overlived its utility. Should reopen if more devs join the adventure.
