Orlando Romeo is currently a PhD candidate at UC Berkeley (expected graduation: Fall 2024) in the Earth and Planetary Science Department, with a focus in Heliophysics. He received a B.S. in Physics and B.S. in Astronomy at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests include plasma physics, planetary science, and space physics, with a focus in data science, modeling, and machine learning. Orlando works with his advisor, Davin Larson, at the Space Sciences Laboratory, studying the evolution of solar wind electron distributions observed by Parker Solar Probe. He has been awarded the NASA FINESST Fellowship and the Robert P. Lin Graduate Fellowship to continue this work. In addition, Orlando works with the Mars MAVEN and Insight missions to study the coherence scales of Martian crustal fields. Beyond these projects, he is currently performing various instrumentation tasks for the SWFO and FOXSI missions.
