JOSM plugin for to fix
To-Fix plugin for JOSM provides for to-fix micro tasks to be readily accessible from within the JOSM editor. Usually, when working on micro tasks with To-Fix, users switch between the to-Fix web interface and their OpenStreetMap editor software. This plugin avoids the switch and allows mappers to work with to-Fix tasks directly within the JOSM power editor for a seamless workflow.
- Open "Preferences" in your JOSM editor (editor available on josm.openstreetmap.de)
- Select "Plugins"
- Click "Update plugins"
- Select “tofix” from the list of plugins
- Confirm with "OK" and restart JOSM
Select "To-fix" from "Windows" menu. Atleast one layer must be enabled in JOSM, to select any options within “Windows”. Now the to-fix window will appear as a panel on your sidebar.
In the to-fix panel, you can see a dropdown menu in the Tasks
tab. From here select a task you need to work on. To understand what each task is about , please visit the list of open tasks page.
Immediately a micro task is loaded in JOSM and the problem point is highlighted in a pink shade.
Similar to web interface, to-fix plugin provides an options pane at the bottom of the panel, with options to mark Skip/Not an error/Fixed
.
Once you are done with appropriate changes for a micro task, make sure to mark the task as Fixed
. Changeset comment is usually auto populated depending on the task loaded. On marking a task as fixed, a new micro task is loaded for you to work on.
But if you are unsure of how to fix the problem, click on Skip
from the Options pane. And if you could spot that there is no error in the highighted area, click on Not an error
from the Options pane.
Also there is a Config
tab in the panel in which you can set the size of an area to be downloaded for the micro task. Sliding it from left tor right increases the area size.
