As usual, Follow Up From Each Member, Discussion and Task Assignment

There was an opinion with regards to changing the name of Vetomint since the word veto is usually used as the right to refuse by the final decision maker. The naming could be misleading since our consensus' liveness is maintained even if someone opposes the proposal. So, our team has provisionally decided to change the name to Votemint.

Byeongjee Kang: Done Vetomint seminar. Other paper's seminar ends 9/8 but expecting to end around 9/5.

  • Will do Jaehu's PR review and start working on Votemint paper.

Jaehu Yeom: Done implementing Votemint and requested Yoonsuh's review.

  • Will add test codes for Votemint.
  • After that, review on Junha's PR connecting Votemint with simperby node will be requested.

Seongjae Kwak: Created PR fixing test since inconsistency with Broadcast feature implementation. Expecting 1~2 more days for fully implementing Broadcast feature.

  • Will continue implementing Broadcast feature.
  • After that, will implement run_network_test for simperby nodes.

Changhun Oh: PR for KVStorage merged and researching for error messages that Junha requested.

  • Will continue to research on error messages.
  • After that, will double check tests for Storage and add few more test scenarios for check_point feature.

Yoonsuh Park: Reviewing Jaehu's Votemint implementation while referring to other consensus algorithms (e.g. Hotstuff).

  • Will review Jaehu's PR.

Taehoon Kim: PR for OneshotMerkleTree merged with fixing logic for building Merkle tree by hashing the hash value itself for only child nodes. Done several PR reviews and implementing in-memory storage.

  • Will continue implementing in-memory storage. Expecting 2 more days.
  • After that, will be assigned with issues for implementing simperby node.
