Yarns Loom v2.7.1

This release adds improvements for the loop/step sequencers and arpeggiator, more flexible legato behavior, more monophonic voicing options, and a 4th gate-only part for the paraphonic layout.

This release's preset storage is backward-compatible with Loom v2.4.0+.

• Sequencer
  • Replaced the EUCLIDEAN ROTATE setting with a more general STEP OFFSET -- allows starting the step sequencer on any step
    • If using the sequencer-driven arpeggiator, the arpeggiator also does a "fast forward" from step 1 to the selected step, applying any internal state changes generated by these steps
  • If no sequencer notes are present, changes to ARP PATTERN will only select pattern values for the setting, not sequencer-driven values.

  • Change JUMP direction for sequencer-driven arpeggiator to remove influence of the past size of the arp chord on the choice of next note. The present size of the arp chord still influences the choice
  • Fixes for loop sequencer timing with external clocking (TEMPO = EXTERNAL)
    • The loop sequencer responds to CLOCK RATIO changes (and stays in sync with modulation LFOs) even after external clock stops sending pulses
    • Don't update looper speed on Start if externally clocked, because we don't know the tempo
• Voicing
  • Break up LEGATO MODE setting (three values) into two on/off settings, LEGATO RETRIGGER (are notes retriggered when played legato?) and PORTAMENTO LEGATO ONLY (is portamento applied on all notes, or only on notes played legato?)
    • Enables a new behavior: notes played legato are retriggered + portamento is applied only on notes played legato
  • Allow monophonic parts to use all voicing modes
• Layouts
  • Add a 4th part to paraphonic layout, which outputs a gate on channel 1 (replacing gate for paraphonic voice)

  • Remove easter egg to reduce program size
