Q. Is it safe to interrupt download or seeding?

Yes you can interrupt it at any time. If you interrupt a download, you will simply have an incomplete file and next time the script will re-download it. If you interrupt seeding, you will simply have incomplete entries in your database. If you restart seeding, it will start from the beginning but it will not create duplicate entries in the database. Therefore it is perfectly safe to abort these actions. One caveat is that if you try to use an incomplete database, you may end up with missing foreign key constraints and this may cause strange database behavior.
