Known issues

Please see the issue tracker for a list of current issues.

  • Crashes and instability when using SerialDisk with a hard disk driver (e.g. HD driver, ACSI autoboot driver)

If you use a hard disk driver, set the maximum disk size in SERDISK.CFG to 0 (32MiB) and configure the maximum disk sector size as appropriate in your HDD driver utilities. See TOS Configuration for more information.

  • If changes are made to the PC folder contents after SerialDisk is started, these changes are not reflected on the Atari

Changes are deliberately not synced while the Atari is communicating with the PC to avoid potential conflicts.

Pres Ctrl-R, or click the reimport button on PC to manually reimport the contents of the local disk, and then press Esc on the Atari folder view in TOS to refresh the current directory contents.

Troubleshooting

If you experience other problems with SerialDisk, try the following:

  • Use the default serial settings i.e: baudrate 9600, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity.
  • Set maximum virtual disk size to 32MiB in the TOS Configuration file.
  • Use a 32MiB virtual disk and disable compression on PC via launch parameters.

If you still experience issues, then please create a new issue ticket or contact me for further assistance.
