+Cookies are small text files placed by your browser on your device when you visit a website to store certain information. Using the stored information, a website can recognize that you have previously accessed and visited it using the browser on your end device.

+Zenodo uses **strictly necessary cookies** to make our website operational such as:
+- Login/logout of your user account.
+- Grant access to restricted content when using a secret links.
+- Ensure secure browsing of the website.
+- Load balancing incoming traffic across backend servers.

+Zenodo also uses **analytics cookies** for gathering anonymous website analytics which is used  purely for internal research on how we can improve the service we provide for all our users.
