Welcome to the prvoices_schema wiki!

This schema describes a standard metadata profile for research outputs from practice research that have not been adequately catered for within the traditional research publishing infrastructure which is focused on text and more latterly data outputs. This gap in provision was the focus of the AHRC funded Practice Research Voices and SPARKLE projects.

This schema introduces the structural element of the portfolio to help gather practice-based research outputs together in a way that is both meaningful and narrative. This schema also attempts to fill the many gaps of research output description currently sitting under the classification "Other".

Where possible we have used existing schema definitions so as to not re-invent the wheel We go into more depth n the subject of Types. This together with the portfolio structure should equate to a blueprint for the implementation of a practice-based research friendly repository.
