The Sensor Management System is a community-driven project with the vision to substantially improve the maintenance, documentation, and organisation of observation systems. As such, it requires active participation from our community for

• collecting feedback about use-cases and -scenarios,
• new feature requirements
• transfer into new communities
• developing best-practices and guidelines for an optimal use of the SMS.

For this, we have established an active community around the development team, that currently consists of researchers, technicians, data managers, etc. from different research Centers.

On the first Thursday of each month, from 10:30 to 12:00, we offer an open community meeting which serves as the main platform for informing our users about new features and discussing issues and feature requests. If you want to become part of this community, write an Email to [email protected] with the subject subscribe sms-community first_name last_name. Then, you will receive all relevant information about the monthly meetings, living documents, latest developments, etc.
